Our 2024 crew.

GREG FRANSEN

CAPTAIN

None of this would be possible if it weren’t for Greg and his passion for fishing. He is a 36 year veteran out on the bay and the reason the rest of his family has fallen in love with fishing. Before he had his own operation, he worked for many different captains on many different boats. Those experiences got him to where he is today, and he has taken his family along for the journey.

CODY FRANSEN

CAPTAIN

Cody has fallen in his fathers footsteps. His passion for fishing comes from being out on the boat at an early age. For as long as Cody can remember, each summer he would trade in his basketball shoes and soccer cleats for waders and a raincoat. Growing up he worked for his dad picking fish and learning the ropes. Now he runs his own boat and crew. 2023 will be his 22st summer in Bristol Bay and his 8th running his own boat.

SOFIE FRANSEN

LONG TIME CREWMAN

Sofie has fished alongside her dad and brother for many years. She was thrown into the boat at a young age, an experience that produced in her their same drive and passion for the industry. She has spent her summers in Alaska for approaching 20 years now and loves every aspect of it. She works in San Diego the rest of the year.

Mack Timmer

CREWMAN - 2ND YEAR FISHING

LEVI DEKOSTER

CREWMAN - 4TH YEAR FISHING

This will be Levi’s 4th season in the Bay. He’s the youngest of our crew. He may not be as good of a singer as Luke, actually far worse, but complains even less and may even love Alaska more. After the fishing season, he enjoys raising livestock and showing beef cows at the local fairs. Thankfully the first season didn’t scare him away, as his easy going attitude and hard work ethic is very much needed.

LORI FRANSEN

DOES EVERYTHING

Without Lori, the crew probably wouldn’t make it home. Things she does: preps meals before the season, manages the crew’s chaotic flight schedules, breakfast, snacks, lunch, more snacks, dinner, more food, washes dirty fish clothes, and protects the cabin from bears and mosquitoes. All of this allows the crew to focus on one thing, and one thing only — fishing.
